The Pontook Dam Section of the Androscoggin River is an exciting Class II-III section of Whitewater, this is the perfect trip for families with young children, or anyone looking for adventure. Negotiate the same rapids and waves that were once used by northern loggers to transport their timber supply from the headwaters of the Androscoggin in Errol, NH to the logging mecca of Berlin, NH. On this one day whitewater adventure you will gain a stronger understanding of the culture of the area; while having the chance to encounter wildlife such as moose, osprey, and eagles.

If you are looking for a more intense experience try the Magalloway River. The Magalloway River is a near constant Class III rafting trip located in Western Maine on the border of New Hampshire. From the Aziscohos Lake dam the first half mile is a torrent of whitewater considered by many to be un-navigable. Our rafting trip begins below this in a Class III section on this picturesque and scenic river tour.
ELC Outdoors offers a unique trip on the remote class III-IV Rapid River. This one of a kind wilderness rafting experience and is by nature a custom developed trip. Start at the Pond in the River and paddle your way through a warm up of class II rapids, before descending the Three Pitches to smooth ledge. At smooth ledge we will enjoy a riverside lunch and be entertained by kayakers surfing their boat in the waves. After lunch we will complete our rafting expedition through such rapids as the s-turn and devils hopyard before spilling out on Lake Umbagog. From here a boat shuttle across pristine waters will conclude our extreme river adventure.
